Mix and blend photos and create photo manipulations
FotoMix is an application which enables you to make some modifications to your images.
Since this is an ad-supported product, you should be careful when installing FotoMix because it offers to download a third-party software which is not essential to the main component.
The interface of the program is plain and simple. In the „Background“ tab you can open an image (the „drag and drop“ method is supported) and resize, crop, rotate or mirror flip it.
But you can also tune it (saturation, light, sunlight, glow, red, green, blue, mix with original, brush strength, size and shape), add effects (sharp, blur, soften, oil paint, grayscale, old paper, rock, emboss, edge, metallic, negative, mix with original), as well as deform it.
The „Foreground“ section lets you erase parts of an image, color erase, fill erase, adjust color tolerance, brush size and shape, invert erase, select to mark erased portions with red, green or blue, resize, crop, flip, rotate or duplicate the image, and more.
Furthermore, in „Composition“ you can adjust the text shadow and shadow angle, push selected foreground behind all other foregrounds, set the maximum fade, brush size and shape, transparency, edge and circle face, enable anti-alias, and others.
Last but not least, you can use brushes to apply color, change color tint, clone colors, soften edges and smoothen the final image, as well as adjust the brush strength, size and shape.
Once you are satisfied with the results, you can set the frame and shadow size and color, as well as copy, print or save the image in the JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP format, or as a FotoMix project file.
The program uses a moderate amount of system resources and can guide you to an online help file with tutorials. We haven’t encountered any problems during our tests. However, FotoMix is not a professional tool, so experienced individuals would probably prefer focusing on a more complex program. On the other hand, novices are welcomed to use FotoMix.
